who we are

Sheppard Envelope Mfg Co is a closely knit, very hard working group of envelope manufacturing professionals. The company was founded in 1921, in Worcester MA, and since that time has moved just twice, most recently to our 50,000 sq. foot plant in Auburn, MA.

Our mantra is the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Following this guidance, we try to do more than we promise, preferring to err on the high side.
Perhaps we go too far, as our policy is put one or two extra envelopes into each box of envelopes that are being folded. Our entire Sheppard Team buys into this philosophy, because the last thing we want to hear is that we shipped and order short. If that's the case, what's next? We don't want any part of that slippery slope.

We love challenges. We don't like beating our heads against the wall on undoable projects, but
we are not risk-averse when it comes to investing our own time for the sake of helping a client get a new project off the ground. "Old" pays today's bills, but "new" must be carefully cultivated
if there is to be a tomorrow.

So we work hard, we push the team concept, we try to grow as individuals and as company. We like what we do. We love coming through for our clients in ways that they never expected. Their pleasure is a very large measure our reward.
